Owning My power

I'm so excited to be take part in the "Reclaiming Power" mentorship program! This opportunity will impact all aspects of what I do as an artist. Over the years my business has grown beyond personal sessions and events, to include artful projects intended to create change, and teaching. Each of these aspects developed as my creative knowledge and confidence grew as an artist and while I'm proud of my accomplishments thus far, having a mentor who understands my desire to decolonize photography as I know it and to help me share that knowledge with other creators is huge. With the support of Portland's Regional Arts & Culture Council, I'm thrilled to take part in this program and to not only grow as an artist, but as a become a better contributor to my community.
