Train Your Artistic Eye

Being a good artist takes time and the best ones only continue to learn. After 20 years of experience I've reached a point in my career where I feel confident sharing my knowledge and would like to support budding creators. In 2019 I began teaching with Young Audiences & Studio Latino in Portland, Oregon. I'm teach students how to craft stories and create feelings with images, while they also learn to understand the various kinds of imagery around them and the messages they're creating. I also support growing artists by offering one on one coaching, and lessons to those interested in learning how to ethically practice photography while refining their artistic eye, and learning the fundamentals of a camera. I recognize the privilege in photography and realize that camera equipment is expensive! Truthfully, my first few cameras were all gifts and without that support I wouldn't be here. That's why I'm excited to provide a basic camera kit for those interested, but who don't have gear.

Photography should be accessible to anyone interested. Cost, experience, and equipment shouldn't be a barrier. If you're interested and they are, please reach out.
