The Come Thru Market is back for another season!! And this year, the market is hosting a FREE youth workshop series from June 1st to October 5th while the market is open.
These exciting workshops invite youth to get to know the farmers, the food, and the community that they're a part of through hands-on activities, creative storytelling, and artful expression. Whether you decide to come for just a few or join us for the entire season, this summer experience can't be missed!!

June 1st
Meet Your Market
Get to know your market vendors with a fun game.

June 15th
Get to know your Market
POP CLUB members will conduct short, structured interviews with vendors — learning about their products, methods, inspirations, and personal histories. Each interview will be paired with original visual content created by the member, bringing each story to life in a compelling and shareable format. Members will choose how they want to present what they learn (written article, an informational flyer, a digital info page, a blog post, or a short video reel).

July 6th
Herb Seeding
Members will grab from a mix of different culinary herb seeds and sow them in their own 6 in pot. Each pot will have a print around it illustrating all the seeds in the culinary herb mix. The members will bring these pots home and continue to water them. As these herbs grow, members will be able to identify them with the illustrated print on the pot.

JUly 20th
THe Growing Process
Using shadow drawings or photography, members will practice documenting the growth of the various herbs they received in the previous workshop. This hands-on activity invites members to slow down and closely observe the changes happening in their plants over time — tracking new leaves, shifting shapes, and signs of healthy growth.

August 3rd
The Farm Scene

August 17th
The Market Scene
Pop Club members will design and create their ideal community market through a collaborative collage project. Using magazines, printed images, hand-drawn elements, and other mixed media, members will curate a visual vision of what their dream local market would look like — from the vendors and products they'd want to see, to the atmosphere, layout, and values that would make it truly community-centered.

September 7th
Veggie Press Prints

September 21st
Recipes From The Market
Members will be introduced to recipes created by Come Thru vendors with market ingredients. Each POP club member is invited to draw or photograph each recipe, then research and identify exactly where each ingredient can be sourced in the market.

October 5th
Zucchini 500 Races
Members create derby cars out of zucchini using simple materials. Cars will race down a ramp to see whose design goes fastest or farthest.

October 19th
Thank you + Gallery Prep
In the final week, members write thank-you letters or create thank-you cards for their favorite farmers from the season. They'll reflect on what they learned and deliver the letters to vendors at the market while verifying the art pieces for a winter showcase.
