My First project grant!

For the second year in a row, Milagro Theater is supporting Oregon Latino artists through the Latino Artist Fund. Supported by additional sponsors like the Meyer Memorial Trust, El Centinela, PGE Foundation, Unitus Community Credit Union and more. This special fund supports artists or groups working on projects in any creative discipline all over the state. I'm beyond excited to announce that my project, "The History and Evolution Of La Catrina" has been selected as one of the many projects the fund will be supporting this year.

In all my years of creating story-based photo projects, this is the first time I've received financial support for a project. The funds will be used to help bring two of five different Catrina looks to life, assisting with supplies, helping to obtain traditional outfits, and supporting the creators and artists involved in making each look possible. These different looks will be photographed and displayed at the Milagro Theater lobby from October 13th through November 5th. So, mark your calendars and save those dates, more information on the exhibition to come.
